i got this gorgeous poem in my OKCupid inbox last week, so i thought i’d share the, um, creativity.
i especially like the dude’s over-reliance on ellipses at the end. if anyone has any idea how to translate this mess, please — do tell.
“aloof shuns a fool,lest shackels be fethered
such counsel be coined as lovers are martyr’d
bereft of sobriety and all its releases
as mortar is dulled by pardons laughter
gives reason to freedom and wishes to wands
lest shoulders be peasants of time’s forgotten hands

our bands have been forged witnessed by kin
as stars be pinholes in the curtain of night
and given of each other loves rippled twilight……………….”
